We’re rolling into high summer! Yes, you know what that means. Make hay when the sun shines. Hit your favorite swimming hole. Ride awesome trails in your community with friends. And, last but not least, it’s time to knock back the undergrowth, clip back the limbs, repair those berms, improve the drainage, etc.
And we need your help! With WAMBA now helping to manage the trails at Mt. Peg, S6, and Aqueduct, we are looking for volunteers to “adopt a trail” for some routine maintenance and special projects. Due to the pandemic, we rolled out a similar program in the spring to open up the trails without forming large group events. It worked very well with volunteers going out on their own time to do trail work.
Please help us now by signing up to take care of a trail this summer. The sign up sheet is here:
Here are the instructions: 1) Add your name or your family’s name as the “Trail Steward” 2) Discuss project with Trail Boss if you need instructions or WAMBA tools 3) Complete the work 4) File a Trail Report on Trailforks: Click Add/Edit Tab on right. Click -Add Trail report. Update Status and Condition as necessary. Add Description. Click Submit. 5) Sign up for Trail Report alerts on Trail Forks for the trail you’ve adopted 6) Monitor the trail you’ve adopted for routine maintenance and check back on this worksheet for new projects
Thanks. And see out on the trails.
Cheers,
